Unknowingly we may face a situation where we are forced to insult a person and later on feel sorry for our act. In this stage try to guard your words carefully and never say anything behind someone’s back and don’t let yourself become defensive. Learn to encourage others and not to insult anybody.

Suppose if someone had insulted you, it is natural for you to feel hurt and upset. The Bible helps you to overlook an insult according to Proverbs 12:16 “A fool shows his annoyance at once, but a prudent man overlooks an insult.”

He will not react to any insult that comes on his way.

He will just overlook it and act as if he never knew about it.

He will never keep the insult stored in him.

He will try to push it out of his mind whenever thoughts creep.

He will ask God to teach a specific lesson from the experience.

Dear friend, try to be a prudent man who overlooks an insult and be careful not to insult anyone. Do not overreact to insults, but rather learn how to overlook and avoid it. God bless you.
Therefore God's feelings of mercy ("compassion's") may at times move Him to even use earthly pain to try to keep us from far greater eternal pain.

God does not have to make up special pain just for us. In this world, which has left God, pain is already with us! But God can sometimes use that pain to help us. When a doctor cuts into the body to remove a diseased part, does this mean that the doctor is uncaring and unwise? Just the opposite is true. He cuts because he cares and wishes to heal. He knows that the pain of this cut is far better than the suffering and death of the spreading disease. In the same way, God sends "judgments" even before the final judgment.

Is this because He is uncaring? It is BECAUSE HE CARES so much! As the prophet Isaiah said, "When Your judgments come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness" (Isaiah 26:9).

In fact, it can be said that the more God cares, the more He corrects us. "The Lord disciplines those He loves....Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in His holiness" (Hebrews 12:6,10).

Life's trials tend to make unbelievers more bitter. But believers keep trusting in the great truth that "His love endures forever" (Psalm 136). Therefore they let themselves be "trained" by the pain of correction. In this way they reap the "harvest of righteousness and peace" (Hebrews 12:11). When many blessings do not turn people back to God, He may try another way. He may use even the curses and sorrows that are already at work in the earth because of sin.

An example of this was given by the prophet Jeremiah. Jeremiah's people enjoyed seasons of plenty. Yet these good times did not turn their hearts to God (Jeremiah 5:24). Later came their times of great trouble, war and famine. God tried through these to show His people the result of their sin. "Your sins have deprived you of good" (Jeremiah 5:25). Still they would not listen. Finally their capital city, Jerusalem, was destroyed. Many of them were killed or made slaves.

In the book of Lamentations,Jeremiah tells of his tears as he watched his people starve and die in Jerusalem. Yet he knew how much God had tried to win them back. God had tried by means of both good times and bad times. So, even in great sorrow, Jeremiah could still say,

"The LORD'S compassions never fail. No other life is so beautiful and pure; no other life is so tranquilly peaceful; no other is so full of rest, happiness, and satisfaction. The Christian, however, does not go to heaven on flowery beds of ease. His pathway is not strewn with roses all the way; there is now and then a thorn. It is not sunshine all the time; now and then a shadow falls. To win heaven he must fight. There are some things to oppose a Christian on his pilgrimage to the skies; these he must contend against. The contending against those things prepares him for his blissful home above.

"All things work together for good to them that love God." Heaven's blessings and hell's venom, angels' smiles and Satan's frowns, comforts of grace and spiritual wickedness, good and ill, love and hatred, all work good to those who have union with God. It is the battle that disciplines and makes strong and brave the warrior, and not the victory. We are exhorted to "endure hardness as a good soldier." There are some things to endure along the Christian way. James says, "Blessed is the man that endureth temptation. Temptations are outward influences acting upon our natural emotions and passions to induce the will to act contrary to the law of grace to satisfy self.

We need not expect to be free from temptations; therefore let us settle it that we will endure them. It is really a blessed thing to endure them. You may think it would be a blessed thing to be free from them, but such would not be the case. It is more blessed to endure them. Temptations will never cease to attack the soul as long as it inhabits this "muddy vesture of decay." Be brave, O soul, and endure temptations. Be brave and fight the good fight of faith. Do not faint because you have temptations. Do not fear because there are long and fierce battles to fight. Be strong and of good courage. It is a lifelong struggle, and it is also a life-long victory, and in the end eternal victory. Strong and well-developed spiritual sinews are the result of resisted temptations.

It is not sinful to be tempted. We never lose any spirituality by being tempted. It is the slight yieldings that cause a leaking, a loss of grace. Clear up the vision of your faith a little and take a look at your beautiful glittering crown of life. It is not gold, neither crystal. Do not look at it as such, but see it a crown of life. Yes, you will be crowned with eternal life if you will but endure temptation. Think of this in the hour of thy sore trial. Fight on; heaven awaits to reward you.

Harihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18361735833360388471noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8804373201717438396.post-23687516210322841362009-08-23T06:52:00.000-07:002009-08-23T07:14:16.832-07:00LUKEWARMNESS
So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
Revelation 3:16

A lukewarm life is a displeasure to God; he would have us to be fervent in spirit. God is pleased with us when we are lively stones, but not when we are formal and lukewarm. A lukewarm state is a dangerous state. One very dangerous thing about it is that usually when a person is lukewarm he is unaware that he is lukewarm. If a man is sick and does not know that he is sick, he is in great danger of his life, because he is not at all likely to take the proper care of himself. So the man who is cold and formal but thinks he is spiritual and full of love is not at all likely to do anything for the improvement of his spiritual condition. He is very much like the Irishman's turtle. I hesitate to relate anything so amusing, but it so well illustrates the state of the lukewarm professor that I think I am justifiable.

Some Irishmen had caught a large turtle and cut off his head. Then they waited for him to die, but the turtle scrambled about for some hours. Desiring an explanation of such a phenomenon, they accosted an Irishman who was passing by. After watching the turtle for a moment, he remarked, "He is dead, but he doesn't know it." This is the condition of the lukewarm professors. They are spiritually dead, but are not aware of it. The professors of Christianity at Laodicea were lukewarm, but they thought themselves rich and increased with goods and in need of nothing.

Diseases of the human body are attended with certain feelings and symptoms by which the physician can tell the nature of the affection in a particular case. The diseases of the human soul are also attended with certain symptoms by which the nature of the malady in a given case may be known. I will now tell you of a few of the symptoms of lukewarmness, so you may know whether such is your state.

First. A kind of doubtful or uncertain feeling as to whether you are right with God, together with an unwillingness to examine yourself closely for fear you are wanting. Being filled with the Spirit gives us fullness of assurance.

Second. If when you testify to being saved, sanctified, and ready for the coming of Jesus, your heart fails to say amen and you wish down in your soul you had a little better assurance that what your lips say were true, you are not as spiritual as you should be. When we are filled with the Spirit, our souls are assured and satisfied.

Third. Going along day after day in the same routine of life, taking it for granted that you are at the work the Lord wants you to do, and not earnestly seeking to know his will. Those who are spiritual can not be contented without a definite knowledge of the will of God. If you are going along without any real and positive knowledge of the will of God and are not seeking to know it, surely you are lukewarm.

Fourth. If when your routine of life is in some way interrupted, you are dissatisfied and complain; if you do not enjoy being moved out of your old channel, but you wish to be let alone, it is evident that you have chosen your own way and that God is not ordering your steps.

Fifth. If when you are called to the assistance of a neighbor or the sick or even an enemy, you find a reluctancy to go and an often returning of your own mind to your own concerns and a desire to hurry back to them, you are,it appears, looking upon your own things, and not on the things of others. The Bible tells us to look upon the things of others. If you see your own needs, and see and care but little about the things of others, you are selfish. Those who are spiritual have time to help others and do it willingly.

Sixth. If when called upon to go to the assistance of some unfortunate one and you can not possibly go, if you do not have a deep heart-regret and if you do not ofttimes during the day think of the poor unfortunate man and be pained at heart because of your inability to help him, you must be more concerned about yourself than about others. You look on your own things and do not see nor feel the needs of others. If such is true in you, you are in a lukewarm state.

Seventh. If you were to be asked whether you are doing the work you are now doing, solely and purposely for the glory of God, and you should be obliged to answer that you had taken no particular thought about it, but supposed it mattered little to the Lord, just so you were doing something, this would surely show neglect, indifference, lukewarmness.

Eighth. If you are indifferent and unconcerned about making spiritual progress; if you are not desiring and earnestly seeking for more of God; if you are not earnestly striving to be more meek and humble, to be more kind and patient; if you are carelessly tolerating acts of selfishness, of impatience, unkindness, harshness, and lightness, you are certainly lukewarm.

Ninth. Neglect to read the Bible and to pray in secret; greater fervency in public prayer than in secret prayer; more outward manifestation than real inward piety; testifying or preaching beyond the true standard of living these too are evidences of lukewarmness. A man may become enthusiastic in prayer, testimony, or sermon, and think he is making great advancement; but if he does not live up to every word he speaks, he is losing instead of gaining, because he is not walking in light.

Lukewarmness is very loathsome to God. It reproaches him. To make no profession of love to God at all is not such a reproach to him as to profess love and be lukewarm. God wants all your heart. If he can not have it all, he will have none. He desires warm, fervent love. To love him only partially, and not supremely, makes it appear as if he were worthy of only halfhearted love. It makes other things equal with God.

After the physician learns the symptoms and pronounces the disease, he then prescribes the remedy. Thank God, there is an unfailing remedy for Lukewarmness. Of course, "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." "Repent and do the first works." Come to God and buy of him gold tried in the fire. Exercise yourself in spiritual things if there yet be any love in your heart. Shake off everything that is stupefying. Press your way through to God in spite of dryness and deadness. Stir up your soul. Give yourself to deep meditation upon the great love of God to you. Pray in fervency and faith. Consecrate to the whole will of God. If your case is not hopeless--and it is not--this will effect a cure.

Jeremiah 9:3

"They make ready their tongue
like a bow, to shoot lies;
it is not by truth
that they triumph [a] in the land.
They go from one sin to another;
they do not acknowledge me,"
declares the LORD.

Hosea 6:4

"What can I do with you, Ephraim?
What can I do with you, Judah?
Your love is like the morning mist,
like the early dew that disappears

Ezekiel 16:30

How weak-willed you are, declares the Sovereign LORD, when you do all these things, acting like a brazen prostitute!

Harihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18361735833360388471noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8804373201717438396.post-61230265156492930092009-08-20T09:59:00.000-07:002009-08-20T10:02:14.940-07:00REDEFINING REALITYRedefining Reality !

There once was a king whose subjects were dying in thousands due to hunger, but he solved that problem in a moment. He simply redefined hunger, so that in his kingdom hunger was now an abstract desire. Since there was no dearth of abstract concepts to feed abstract desires, there was no longer hunger in his kingdom he claimed. People kept on dying, but the definition reduced that to a non event!

Christians, influenced by the fads and fashions of the world, have also been playing the same redefining game but with more far-reaching consequences. As a result, commitment, worship, repentance, devotion, faithfulness and piety no longer mean what the Bible means by these things.

Redefining the fundamentals can surely give one a sense of security, but it cannot change the reality. It is reality that the Christian needs to confront in his daily life, not imaginations.

Johnson C. Tabloids are thirsty for stories on psychics who search for missing children; ads saturate the airwaves encouraging viewers to call their psychic friends and learn their fortunes; and movie stars, royalty, and even politicians consult psychics to receive direction on critical issues of life. Seeking advice from psychics today is as common as consulting physicians or theologians. But what should our position be as Christians on this phenomenon?

The scriptures say there is only one source for true wisdom –– God’s word. (2Tim. 3:16-17) They warn of lying wonders in the end of the present Gospel age. They also tell of the activity of Satan and the fallen angels who would interfere with men’s affairs so as to draw away the faith of many. “...the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders... And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie...” 2Thess. 2:9-11

Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. mat 7 15

Armed with the scriptural facts, the true follower of God would be very sceptical of these so-called prophets. Is it any wonder that a fallen angel would be able to inform psychics of the location of dead bodies or tell of someone’s past or present? All this would give credibility to their guesses of future events which may or may not come to pass. Anyone can make educated guesses. As for us, we will leave the future to the true prophets of old whose words were written for our admonition.

The scriptures are clear, “Beware of false prophets...” We must avoid anything akin to spiritism or occultism. There are but two masters. One is God and the other is the god of this present evil world, Satan. (Matt. 6:24; 2Cor. 4:4; Eph. 2:2) This “prince and power of the air” is not the only angel who left the ranks of the righteous angelic realm to practice lawlessness. A host of angels fell before the flood of Noah’s day and are now those who whisper in the ears of any who will lend them. The increasing popularity of New Age thinking has opened wide the door for these evil spirits to influence and deceive. “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.” 1Tim. 4:1 See also Acts 16:16-18; Jude 6

The only way to avoid falling into the snare of these seducing spirits is to “Put on the whole armour of God [His truth and character], that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Eph. 6:11-12

If you have given heed to these evil influences, do not despair, but do be aware and heed the scriptures. She was standing on a ledge where she was taking a breather during this, her first rock climb. As she rested there, the safety rope snapped against her eye and knocked out her contact lens. "Great", she thought. "Here I am on a rock ledge, hundreds of feet from the bottom and hundreds of feet to the top of this cliff, and now my sight is blurry."She looked and looked, hoping that somehow it had landed on the ledge. But it just wasn't there. She felt the panic rising in her, so she began praying. She prayed for calm, and she prayed that she may find her contact lens.

When she got to the top, a friend examined her eye and her clothing for the lens, but it was not to be found. Although she was calm now that she was at the top, she was saddened because she could not clearly see across the range of mountains. She thought of the bible verse "The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth."

She thought, "Lord, You can see all these mountains. You know every stone and leaf, and You know exactly where my contact lens is. One of them shouted out, "Hey, you guys! Anybody lose a contact lens?" Well, that would be startling enough, but you know why the climber saw it? An ant was moving slowly across a twig on the face of the rock, carrying it!

The story doesn't end there. Brenda's father is a cartoonist. When she told him the incredible story of the ant, the prayer, and the contact lens, he drew a cartoon of an ant lugging that contact lens with the caption, "Lord, I don't know why You want me to carry this thing. I can't eat it, and it's awfully heavy. But if this is what You want me to do, I'll carry it for You."

I think it would do all of us some good to say, "God, I don't know why You want me to carry this load. But, in the course of time, differences of opinion started to arise between us and our family peace was disturbed as a result. We disagree on almost all matters. He does not like my views and I do not like his suggestions. Our house is like a hell now. Is there a way for this situation to change and for our home to become a haven of peace?

In many families these days, due to differences arising between the spouses, separation occurs, as there is discord, no oneness of mind and lack of peace. The consequence of this is that the family life is like living in hell. In this condition, the question whether the fullness of peace given by God will ever descend upon the family life, may arise in your hearts.

Many names are given to our Lord in the Bible. One amongst them is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). The Lord came into this world to grant peace. Therefore, He will enter into the home where the couple give Him utmost importance and invite Him lovingly and then He will abide with them with great joy.

What does the Lord tell us?

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me” (Revelation <st1:time minute="20" hour="15">3:20</st1:time>).

If the Lord is to enter our home, we have to read the Bible everyday, pray and do good works and live a life pleasing to Him. Then He will come into our home and abide with us.

The Lord Jesus says, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.”

“We” which is denoted here means, God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit. When the three of them join together and enter into our homes and family lives as the triune God, there will be no place for any kind of problem, confusion, differences of opinion, disunity, discord or separation. When the triune God who gives true peace comes and dwells with us, these kinds of evil disturbances will never come into our homes.

The Bible says, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John <st1:time hour="14" minute="27">14:27</st1:time>).

A couple who were ministering to God was very devout, one day,due to a small misunderstanding they became exasperated with each other. But when both of them sought to seek the Lord in solitude, the Lord revealed their shortcomings to them. Immediately they hastened to each other’s side. The wife first apologized to her husband, “I did a grave mistake. Kindly forgive me.” Her husband replied, “I should not have spoken to you in that manner.” They apologized to each other and reconciled.

When we kneel down in the presence of God, the Prince of Peace will help us to realize our shortcomings and experience, His divine peace. When we humble ourselves immediately, the peace of God will descend upon us.

My dear friend, humble yourself and confess your shortcomings in the presence of God for the Lord gives grace to the humble. Pray earnestly as, “Lord I have opened my heart to You. When You come into my heart and home, all the conspiracies of the devil to wreck my family life, will be completely broken. One mindedness and unity will prevail. Blessings will abound in the family and it will thrive and flourish. Therefore, You should come into my home.”

Following this, the Lord will grant you divine wisdom to talk and walk with discernment towards your husband. Likewise, He will bless your husband and children with the same wisdom. He will fill your family life with His divine peace.

Harihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18361735833360388471noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8804373201717438396.post-53438539358265198182009-07-08T04:00:00.000-07:002009-07-08T04:06:04.795-07:00THE DEVILS PlAN
THE SATAN MEETING

Harihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18361735833360388471noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8804373201717438396.post-37733816797116846342009-07-08T03:32:00.000-07:002009-07-08T03:42:52.372-07:00DO YOU LOVE JESUS
A Pharisee named Simon invited Jesus for dinner one night. While Jesus was eating with Simon, a woman, whom the people neglected came into the house. She came over to Jesus and knelt down. “What is she doing?” Simon gasped. Jesus said nothing. Then she wiped His feet dry with her hair.

Still, Jesus said and did nothing. He waited for her to finish. When we do this, we show God He is important for us and we want to know Him. God’s major desire is to have people who love Him with all their heart, mind, and soul, willing to obey Him in all things.

To love God is very important to live a righteous life because that is what shows our obedience to Him. When we surrender to God, we allow Him to transform our lives into His image; and when that happens, He can show His glory through us.

And Now, Israel what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
(Deuteronomy 10:12 )

When we truly love God, whatever He ask from us is easier to do because real love is willing to do anything for the loved one. True love does not need encouragement because does it by itself. The person that really loves God will always try to please Him in all things.
There is a precious promise for those who surrender their heart to God: His presence continuously dwelling in their lives, a presence that overwhelms our being. A presence that gives us that abundant life we all want and sometimes we try to find through the things of the world.
When we love God we become His habitation, He becomes part of our being.

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
(John 14:23 )
His grace helps us fulfill the purpose He has for our lives, without any effort. This grace is that special gift that makes the people sees something different in our lives. This is nothing but His presence dwelling within us. Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. (Ephesians 6:24 )
For us, fleshy human beings, highly influenced by a sinful nature is difficult to love God, as He desires. However, if we draw near Him with a humble heart He will help us grow in love towards Him. This love will make our hearts overflow with joy and peace.

You might have something against LORD which is stopping him to act on you behalf.pipe down and pray, Holy spirit will guide you in prayer. And mostly give the LORD first preference in your life than anything.

Let LORD take care of your everything..

And Finally LOVE THE LORD and see miracles overflowing.

Harihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18361735833360388471noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8804373201717438396.post-25548309652274264792009-06-30T04:28:00.000-07:002009-06-30T06:49:34.206-07:00HOW TO SPEND TIME WITH GOD

Christian life is nothing but friendship with Christ. Before Christ came, there were only a few who were called the friends of God. But the coming of Christ has opened a new era of man’s relationship with God. Jesus came to make God and man friends. The very first thing Jesus did when He began His work in public was to recruit a handful of men from all walks of life to whom He could demonstrate the friendliness of God. these men, called disciples (followers), addressed Jesus as Lord and Master, He said, "I will not call you servants. You are My friends!" (Jn 15:15). Blessed privilege!

Everyone who has repented of his sin, turned to God, and believed on Christ the Mediator, has been reconciled to God. He has become a friend of God. Any friendship must be nurtured. It cannot develop of its own. The most important requirement to grow deep in friendship is spending of time. Unless we spend quality time with God, we cannot enjoy His friendly character. This article explains how to spend time with God.

SET A TIME

Choose a fresh hour. King David was a busy ruler. But he had set aside the early hours of the day to meet with God. "O Lord, in the morning my prayer comes before You" (Psa 88:13). Both in the Bible times and throughout history, men and women mightily used of God had been early risers. They met God before meeting men. John Bunyan said, "He who runs from God in the morning will scarcely find Him the rest of the day!"

It’s important that you stick to this time whatever the reason. You must take this seriously as an appointment with the King of Heaven. Daniel was a young man taken captive to Babylon. Folks there were hostile to his religious beliefs. There was even a civil law which banned prayer to any god. But Daniel cared the less for all these. Nothing could stop his holy habit. "He knelt down on his knees three times and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his CUSTOM since early days" (Dan 6:10).

We see another example in the Book of Acts. The Church had experienced a bursting growth following Pentecost. Three thousand people were baptized on a single day. This suddenly multiplied the pastoral responsibility of leaders. But they never became too busy to go apart to commune with God. "The hour of prayer" was too precious for them to be sacrificed for anything sacred or secular (Acts 3:1). This they had learnt from their Master who often withdrew Himself into lonely places to pray when great crowds had come to Him for hearing and healing (Lk 5:15,16). Aren’t you strict with your class hours or meal-times? So should you be with your time with God. It honors Him.

LISTEN AND SPEAK

The time with God is usually called the Quiet Time. But this is not a "silent" time! Noise there is not, but voice there is. We listen to God, which means we meditate the Bible. We speak to Him, which means we pray.

It’s fitting to begin with Bible meditation. We must hear God speak to us before we speak to Him. The preacher son of David spoke these words of wisdom: "Walk prudently when you go to the house of God; and draw near to HEAR rather than to GIVE the sacrifice of fools... Do not be rash with your mouth, and let not your heart say anything hastily before God. For God is in heaven, and you on earth; therefore let your words be few" (Eccl 5:1,2). The saintly F.B. Meyer pointed out, "It’s more needful for you to hear God’s words than that God should hear yours, though the one will always lead to the other." Yes, prayer or praise is actually our response to God’s revelation.

PRAISE

The model prayer Jesus taught begins with the praise: "Hallowed be Your Name!" We are commanded to "enter into God’s gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise" (Psa 100:4). You may sing a song of praise (v 2). We have so many worship songs and choruses these days. You will experience a new release as you lift up your voice to bless the Lord. The presence of God will be real because He inhabits the praises of His people (Psa 22:3).

Praise can take two forms: worship and thanksgiving. When you praise God for who He is, that’s worship. Praising God for what He has done or is doing is thanksgiving. Do both. The first two verses of Psalm 103 are memorized by most Christians from childhood. Verse 1 is a call to worship: "Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name." Verse 2 is a call to thanksgiving: "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits." It’s said, "The pulse of prayer is praise and the heart of prayer is gratitude."

God reveals Himself primarily through the pages of the Scripture. Let what you learnt about God from your passage of meditation be turned into praise. You might have read in that portion about God’s Omnipresence, Omnipotence or Omniscience. Praise Him for that. Or you might have met Him in that passage as a Creator, Savior, Restorer, Lover, Keeper or Giver. Exalt Him in praise with appropriate words.

What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!

When you kneel before God in the morning, you can stand up to anything during the day!

Harihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18361735833360388471noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8804373201717438396.post-22124409880487397052009-06-27T07:05:00.000-07:002009-06-27T07:10:48.271-07:00Jump Frog Jump! Mr. Yodelheimer (name changed to protect the innocent) took an unsuspecting bullfrog from a glass jar and placed him in a large, shallow pot of cool water. There was a ledge that the frog could hop onto if he so chose but he seemed content to sit in the water. Seemed logical since he was indeed a frog. Under the pot was a small electric burner that was turned on and the water was heated very slowly; one degree every five minutes. The water started at about 60 degrees and over the next hour the temperature rose to eighty degrees. Mr. Frog was as happy as a clam, "Ah, what a life!" At the end of the next hour the temperature was one hundred degrees and Mr. Frog continued to sit there not attempting to jump to the safety of the ledge and when the temperature was at one hundred fifteen degrees he rolled over and died.

Mr. Yodelheimer then took a second frog and held him over the water as the kids stood in horror. Could he possibly be doing what they thought he was going to do? Yep! Plop! Frog hits water, frog feels the heat, frog hops to ledge, frog is safe, and kids breathe a sigh of relief.

There is a powerful song written and performed by the band "Casting Crowns" called "Slow Fade". It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray. Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid when you give yourself away. People never crumble in a day. Daddies never crumble in a day. Families never crumble in a day." If you have time please watch the music video: Slow Fade Video

Last week we talked about vices and, as Ivor and I discussed this, we both felt God was asking us to address holiness and the subject of sin. "Holiness and sin!" you exclaim. "Sounds so religious and churchy!" Well, yeah they are but they are also very real, very important, and very, very different. Hang with me here. You'll be OK.

What is "holiness"? It means to be "separate" and "set apart" but it can also mean "pure". God commands us to "Be holy because I am holy". He wants us to be separate from the world even as we live in the world. Why, to keep us from having fun and joy? No! To protect us from the destruction, devastation, pain, guilt, and ultimate death that comes from sin. So what is "sin"? It's anything that falls short of God's holiness. It's missing the mark.

But here is one of the points I want to get across today: Sin isn't just the final ugly act, it's the slow fade. It isn't just the one hundred fifteen degree, frog killing moment. It stems from the first thought of turning on the burner. It grows with each moment you stay in the water when God's Spirit is telling you to hop to the ledge. It's seen in individuals and in societies. It's a person or a people being desensitized to moral decay. It's a man addicted to crack ten years after he and his brothers snuck behind the shed to smoke the Marlboro they stole from their dad. It's a society not phased by commercials during prime time TV that show a man stroking the leg of a thin blond woman in her tight, white T-shirt and underwear or the multitude of commercials for male enhancement drugs. I'm not quite sure how to explain to my seven year old why the naked man and woman in the bathtub are there at halftime of the Bills football game. Friend, I'm speaking not out of judgment but out of personal experience. I've been the frog and I can tell you that the water didn't feel that warm. It apparently doesn't feel too hot for our society either but I promise you that it's not just warm but close to the boiling point.

James, the brother of Jesus said it this way, "but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death."

The bible is clear that we aren't just a little messed up but "totally depraved". I know you're saying, "Not me!" but there is a bent in each of us away from God and toward sin. It is because of that very thing that Jesus came into the world. It is for that very thing that He died and rose again on the third day. It is for that reason God sent his Holy Spirit to live within those who have come by faith. So, that those of us who have been in hot water can find the ledge. So, that when we find ourselves back in the water we will be sensitive to even a one degree rise in the heat! The bible calls that sensitivity to sin, "conviction" and it is a really good thing!

If you are in the warming water or even in the boiling water it's not too late. God already knows where you are. I promise he has enough grace for you regardless of the magnitude of your failings. But you have to come HUMBLY to him with a "broken and contrite" heart and ask him to forgive you. Trust that Jesus paid the price for your sin. Find healing in him because sometimes the burns you got in the water may still be there for a while and the consequences of the sin may linger but the condemnation will be gone forever!

"Be careful little eyes what you see. It's the second glance that ties your hands and darkness pulls the strings . . . " It's a slow fade.

Peace friend,

David.

Original Source - The I-61 project

Harihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18361735833360388471noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8804373201717438396.post-51119855491968840042009-06-25T22:51:00.000-07:002009-06-25T23:04:59.660-07:00ALL TO JESUS I SURRENDER

<w:compatibility><w:breakwrappedtables><w:snaptogridincell><w:wraptextwithpunct><w:browserlevel></w:browserlevel> </w:wraptextwithpunct></w:snaptogridincell><w:compatibility style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(153, 102, 51);font-family:verdana;"><w:breakwrappedtables><w:compatibility><w:breakwrappedtables>"Not my will, but yours be done."(Luke 22:42)

</w:breakwrappedtables></w:compatibility></w:breakwrappedtables></w:compatibility></w:breakwrappedtables></w:compatibility>
<w:compatibility><w:breakwrappedtables><w:compatibility style="color: rgb(153, 102, 51);font-family:verdana;"><w:breakwrappedtables><w:compatibility><w:breakwrappedtables>Mrs.Nathaniel Hawthorne, wife of the famous American author, wrestled in prayer on a February day in 1860. John wrote, “And this is the condemnation, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than the Light, because their deeds were evil” (John 3:19). In other words, because of sinful behavior people will not listen to the truth—they deceive themselves with all sorts of rationale that amounts to no more than excuses—and so will be destroyed in the end. If you not listen to the truth about yourself, You cannot change. So You must be totally honest with yourself about your sinful habits. you have to recognize my problem. Otherwise, you will never be able to overcome temptation to do those things, and You will remain enslaved.

Secondly, You need to, and must be open to, godly guidance. Paul wrote regarding the people of the Church, “That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word…” (Ephesians 5:26). Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet, And a light for my path.” And in Proverbs, “Listen to counsel and receive instruction, That you may be wise in your latter end” (Proverbs 19:20 ). If you truly want to combat the yearnings of temptation, and even escape sinful habits that have developed in you, You have to wash your mind with Scripture, seek godly counsel, and willingly heed correction. And what will go a long way in receiving helpful correction is honesty and humility. you got to be honest about yourself, and you have to accept correction without excuses or defensiveness.

Finally, you have to depend on the Holy Spirit for conviction and strength to resist the temptation. Jesus said, “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth…” (John 16:13). Paul wrote, “I say, then, Walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh” (Galatians 6:1). Proverbs states, “With all your heart you must trust the LORD and not your own judgment. Always let him lead you, and he will clear the road for you to follow. Don't ever think that you are wise enough, but respect the LORD and stay away from evil. This will make you healthy, and you will feel strong” (Proverbs 3:5-8).

Paul wrote, “In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered. He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit's mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God.” (Romans 8:26-27). The point of these Scriptures is as follows: You must trust in God’s Spirit to help you, guide you, and give you strength. He will deal with you in areas of your life that need correction or change. He will always guide you toward what is true, and it will ultimately benefit you. And you must make intercession—pray. He will help you in your prayers.

Throughout our lifetimes, we are bombarded with temptations to sin. And the pulling—the enticement—can be very strong. It tugs at the heart and seduces the will into sinning. It captures the heart and mind, and results in sinful habits that enslave the soul. But giving in to temptation is destructive, both to the tempted, and to others. It not only wrecks lives, but has an eternal cost as well. The only remedy is to fight back and struggle to overcome temptation, you and I must be completely honest with our selves about weaknesses. We must turn to God’s Word, and depend upon the Holy Spirit for help.

There is strength to overcome the temptation by drawing close to God in this manner.t is important to remember that when temptation comes, anyone can fight back no matter how difficult it seems—and have God’s help to do it. As Scripture says, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. This can be a long, drawn out process, such as a person that drinks becoming an alcoholic over many years; or it can be an immediate change, such as a young woman abandoning herself to promiscuity after her first sexual encounter.

James wrote, “But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed” (James 1:14, KJV). (The writer is using the term lust in a broad sense that includes all illegitimate desire.) When a person has been successfully enticed, in attempting to fulfill that gratification, he sins. And sin is destructive behavior, whether lying, cheating, stealing, killing, engaging in sexual immorality, or whatever. Temptation is the vehicle that leads to sin. No matter what it is in any category of evil, temptation (the test of moral integrity) through enticement (seduction), leads a person into sin.

The actual mechanism of temptation is very simple: the tempted person develops a desire to think or do something that is unrighteous—sinful. And the various aspects of the soul are involved. Feelings fuel the desire. Memories of past experiences play a role in supporting the feelings. Many times the enticed person rationalizes excuses, often subtle, to justify gratifying the desire. And the will then chooses to follow through on gratification. That is how temptation works on the soul.

MOTIVATION TO FIGHT BACK

The primary motivation to fight temptation is two-fold.

(1) The immediate reason is to keep oneself from being hurt, or even destroyed. This can be easily observed in the ruined lives of alcoholics who have hid in the bottle for many years, and in the terminally diseased people who have engaged in sexual promiscuity, alcoholism, and abuse of drugs.
(2) The ultimate reason is personal destiny in eternity—Heaven or Hell.

Scripture teaches, “The soul that sins, it shall die” (Ezekiel 18:20, WEB). Jesus said, “…the righteous will shine forth like the sun in the kingdom of their Father...” (Matthew 13:43, WEB). And Paul wrote, “Or don't you know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don't be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit the Kingdom of God. Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God” (1 Corinthians 6:9-11, WEB). In other words, there is an eternal cost or reward for choices made in this life.

The secondary reason for fighting temptation concerns loved ones and friends. An alcoholic makes life miserable for other members of the family. For a drug addict, it is worse: usually long-term theft is involved to support the expensive habit. For those addicted to pornography or sexually immoral behavior, the addict often becomes a predator, or at the very least relates to others as sex objects, not human beings. In every case, sin habits become offensive, and eventually destroy a person’s ability to fully relate to others in a respectful manner.

The best time to begin fighting temptation, of course, is early in life—the sooner the better. When temptations first come to a person, no sin has been committed, no bad or evil habits have been developed—there are no experiences to support the desire. But after the memories of the experiences are present, it becomes more difficult to fight temptations in the area of the sin habit. It is easier, for example, for an inexperienced drinker to say no to getting drunk than one who has been drinking to escape life’s problems for many years.

A sin habit that is left unchecked will eventually bring a person to a point of no return, and from there on the addict is doomed to a miserable end. Even if the person does eventually come out of the addiction, all hope of a bright and successful future will have been dashed. Generally the person is consigned to a lonely life, and suffers a dramatic and permanent decrease in his or her health and ability to function. So, regardless of where a person is with regard to a sin habit, it is imperative to fight back. Otherwise, the habit will eventually take over the soul.

RELATED ARTICLE Methodology Of Satan
Harihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18361735833360388471noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8804373201717438396.post-24389594022381032382009-06-21T23:41:00.000-07:002009-06-22T00:18:32.367-07:00THE CAGE

THIS IS A TRUE STORY

There once was a man named George Thomas, pastor in a small New England town. One Easter Sunday morning he came to the Church carrying a rusty, bent, old bird cage, and set it by the pulpit. Eyebrows were raised and, as if in response, Pastor Thomas began to speak..."I was walking through town yesterday when I saw a young boy coming toward me swinging this bird cage. On the bottom of the cage were three little wild birds, shivering with cold and fright. I stopped the lad and asked, "What you got there, son?" "Just some old birds," came the reply.

"What are you gonna do with them?" I asked.

"Take 'em home and have fun with 'em," he answered. "I'm gonna tease 'em and pull out their feathers to make 'em fight. I'm gonna have a real good time"

"But you'll get tired of those birds sooner or later. What will you do?"

"Oh, I got some cats," said the little boy. "They like birds. I'll take 'em to them."

The pastor was silent for a moment. "How much do you want for those birds, son?"

"Huh?? !!! Why, you don't want them birds, mister. They're just plain old field birds. They don't sing. They ain't even pretty!"

"How much?" the pastor asked again.

The boy sized up the pastor as if he were crazy and said, "$10?"

The pastor reached in his pocket and took out a ten dollar bill. He placed it in the boy's hand. In a flash, the boy was gone.

The pastor picked up the cage and gently carried it to the end of the alley where there was a tree and a grassy spot Setting the cage down, he opened the door, and by softly tapping the bars persuaded the birds out, setting them free.

Well, that explained the empty bird cage on the pulpit, and then the pastor began to tell this story.

One day Satan and Jesus were having a conversation. Satan had just come from the Garden of Eden, and he was gloating and boasting. "Yes, sir, I just caught the world full of people down there. Set a trap, used bait I knew they couldn't resist. Got 'em all!"

"What are you going to do with them?" Jesus asked.

Satan replied, "Oh, I'm gonna have fun! I'm gonna teach them how to marry and divorce each other, how to hate and abuse each other, how to drink and smoke and curse. I'm gonna teach them how to invent guns and bombs and kill each other. I'm really gonna have fun!"

"And what will you do when you get done with them?" Jesus asked. "Oh, I'll kill 'em," Satan glared proudly.

"How much do you want for them?" Jesus asked

"Oh, you don't want those people. They ain't no good. Why, you'll take them and they'll just hate you. They'll spit on you, curse you and kill you. You don't want those people!!"

"How much?" He asked again.

Satan looked at Jesus and sneered, "All your blood, tears and your life."

Jesus said, "DONE!"

Then He paid the price.Harihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18361735833360388471noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8804373201717438396.post-54672649194059820112009-06-19T23:52:00.000-07:002009-06-20T00:00:41.095-07:00HOW DOES DEVIL ATTACKS US HOW DOES DEVIL ATTACKS US

Probably, using the same three kind of temptations he used against Jesus in Mathew 4 and Luke 4, always using the weakness of our flesh and the offerings of the world:

1- Pleasures: First Temptation: "tell these stones to become Bread." (Mt.4:3)...

Jesus was hungry after 40 days of fasting!. The devil is going to tempt us using our honest needs of bread and sex and happiness, he is going to try to convert us into gluttons, alcoholics, drug-addicts, smokers, homosexuals, fornicators, adulterers, compulsion to pornography...and bring into our bodies all kind of sicknesses and diseases...

2- Pride: specially religious pride: The Second Temptation to Jesus was of pride: "Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. "If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down. For it is written: "`He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.' The devil is going to attack us using our natural pride and vanity, and knowledge, he is going to try to involve us in all kind or errors and idols and heresies (all heresies came from men using the Bible, thinking they knew about the Bible more than even the actual Church of Christ)... and he is going to try to create in us the compulsions of lies, stealing, anger, hate, ...

3- Power: specially religious power: The Third Temptation to Jesus was of power, "I will give you all the world... if you will bow down and worship me." When Soul returned to the garden, he met a man named Condemnation.

Condemnation said, "Hey, I see you have met my friend, Temptation."
Soul said, "Yes, who are you?"
"I am Condemnation, I come after Temptation. To get closer to God we have to go His way. For example, we dont get saved our way we get saved His way by the cross. We don't pray our way, we pray His way; In the Name of Jesus. We don't get in His presence our way, He told us How to get into His presence through praising, clapping hands, making a joyous noise, and thanksgiving. Some say "Im just going to approach God my way", That won't work!

Consider the Leviticus Priesthood and how strict God was in their approach in every little detail. The Ark of the Covenant where Uzzah didn't want the ark to stumble, and Uzzah was smitten. Simon the sorcerer who tried to buy Gods power and was rebuked -- are we buying Gods favor with our tithes? Annanais and Saphirra who lied to the Holy Spirit and they were smitten. Saul who was rejected as King because of his heart -- Clearly we can't do things as men see right! You should also ask yourself, I've made Jesus Savior of my life, but is He the Lord of it too? Do I allow Him to be the King of Kings over my circumstances, decisions and attitudes?

What if some of your dilemmas are gateways to glory but you keep going around the mountain? The Bible says in Proverbs 16:3, Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. But it also says that God weighs the motives of the heart, and if we pray for anything we will have it according to His will. God doesn't give all of us huge ministries because the majority of us would get greedy for fame or money and forget God. If your motive is to further glorify God then it is a good motive -- washing feet is of the same value as tithing a Thousand dollars if they are both done in cheerfull humility. Things get difficult when God wants us to let go of attitudes and things we cling on to, but we must be continually pruned to move glory to glory and bear more fruit.

Mark 12:43-44 says, [..] "Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the contributors to the treasury; for they all put in out of their surplus, but she, out of her poverty, put in all she owned, all she had to live on." What a contrast! So many others gave a fraction out of their wealth and this woman gave the next to nothing she had and God said she contributed more than all of them, God does not see things as man does!

You should be hearing something in your heart from God often and go through seasons of breaking every so often. So examine yourself and ask: Why don't I feel the rivers of living water flowing in my life? Do you still talk to God all day? Do you have hidden sin? Is there something you refuse to give up you know is wrong? Do you just play the role of a Christian but your hearts not in it? Is their unforgiveness or bitterness somewhere? Poor people they are not able to get the point I am thy Lord. Tell them that I Love them so much that I died on the cross for them and I have paid the penalty for their sins already.

I am not able to see the sins my children are doing it really hurts my feelings when I see my innocent children turning against me. I weep when I see all this that even after I shed my blood on the cross the result is such a way. But don’t fear I am not going to curse you for what you have done in your past I want you to BORN AGAIN and take up your cross and follow me. You are like a lost sheep for me I am ready to leave all the 99 sheep’s and for you. All they need to do is to accept me as your Savior. And I am giving this responsibility to spread the Gospel to the world. Remember before you preach my word I want you to confess all your sins and thy bad taught remember what I told you to 2000 years back; Love your neighbors as you Love yourself.

So see that thy soul is sin-free. Remember my Holy Spirit will be with you always in what ever you do for me. So my dear child the end-time is not so far. We are going to meet soon. Remember you can’t enter the kingdom but by me. From now onwards the responsibility is yours. I will keep in touch with you in prayer. If you can spare a couple of minutes for me can you forward my mail to you known ones………….
